Africa Games 1500m women finalist, Brenda Chebet will fight for honors at the Meeting International de Marseille, a World Athletics Continental Tour silver level meeting, that will held at the Pierre-Delort Stadium in Marseille, France.
The 18 year-old who is the youngest athlete in the start line finished fourth in the 1500m with a time of 4:17.25 and sixth in the 800m with a time of 2:06.17, will battle for honors with the two time World Indoor silver medallist, Axumawit Embaye from Ethiopia, fastest Finnish indoor runner, Kristiina Mäki and the 2021 European Indoor bronze medallist, Hanna Klein from Czech Republic.
Chebet who comes to this race with the fifth fastest time on paper of 4:05.50 that she got early this year in Castiglione International Meeting where she finished in fourth will also face off with the home girl Aurore Fleury and Eliza Megger from Poland.
