Two times African junior champion Caroline Kipkirui’s coach, Rich Anderson has passed on.
The news of his passing away was shared by his wife Lisha Naidoo through their social media account facebook.
Naidoo shared the breaking news yesterday saying, “Hi friends and family, it is with much sadness and grief I am informing you that Rich Anderson was called to rest yesterday evening.
Rich was my husband, my best friend, a father, grandfather, friend to many, coach, and most of all, one of the best human beings I’ve ever had the pleasure to love and share a short, happy life with. Rest in peace my Darling. I’ll forever miss you and you’ll always be my Sweetheart”
Kipkirui who trains with the Altay Athletics club, changed her nationality from Kenya to run for Kazakhstan and she has won many accolades under the tutelage Anderson since 2017.
The 27 year-old holds a personal best of 1:05.07 that she got at the 2018 Ras Al Khaimah International Half Marathon. This time placed her as the fourth fastest female half marathoner of all time.
