Kenya’s Evans Kibiwott led fellow mates to take the take the first three podium places as he won the 14th edition of the Wizz Air Skopje marathon that was held on Sunday (6) in the City of Skopje Macedonia.
Biwott took battled John Langat at the closing stages when he gave his final kick to cut the tape in 2:14.08. He was followed on by Langat fifty one seconds later.
Hosea Kiprotich closed the podium finish in 2:28.58.
The first Macedonian was Aleksandar Kiradziev who crossed the line in 2:42.48.
In the women’s race, Jedidah Karungu from Kenya took the honors when she cut the tape in 2:51.24 and she was followed by Croatia’s Marija Vrajic in 3:02:00 with Macedonia’s Andrijana Pop Arsova closing the podium three in a new National record of 3:05.04.
