Kenya’s Betsy Saina came back from her maternity leave with a bang as she destroyed the EDP Sevilla Half Marathon course record on Sunday (29) in Sevilla, Spain.
The 34 year-old pulverized the women’s old record course of 1:10.36 that was set by Meritxell Soler from Spain with a new course record of 1:08.25.
Saina was closely followed by Alina Reh from Germany who crossed the finish line seventeen seconds later with her compatriot Deborah Schöneborn closing the podium three finishes in 1:09.41.
