Beatrice Jelagat breaks Bilbao Night Marathon course record

Kenya’s Beatrice Jelagat Cherop crushed the race course record at the 14thhh edition of the Bilbao Night Marathon held on Sunday (23) in Bilbao, Spain.

The 36 year-old who ran the entire course alone crossed the finish line in a new course record time of 2:35.05.

She was followed by her compatriot Salina Jebet who came in second place over ten minutes later in 2:26.50 with Dolores Marco from Spain closing the podium three finishes in 2:52.44.
