Ethiopia’s Tsedat Ayana was the suprise winner of the 28th edition of the Lattelecom Riga Marathon that was held on Sunday (20) in Riga, Latvia.
The 22 year-old beat the race favorite Silas Kiprono from Kenya when he gave a powerfull kick near the finish line to cut the tape in 2:11.00 two minutes short of his personal best of 2:09.26 that he got in February in Barcelona.

Kiprono followed closely in second position thirteen seconds later with Joseph Kyengo Munywoki also from Kenya closing the podium three in 2:13.10
