Two times World Indoor silver medallist, Axumawit Embaye won the women 1500m at the Meeting International de Marseille, a World Athletics Continental Tour silver level meeting, held at the Pierre-Delort Stadium in Marseille, France.
The 27 year-old who came to this with the fastest time on paper of 3:58.80 that she got early this month in Rabat Meeting, won the race in a time of 4:02.78 and was followed by the 2021 European Indoor bronze medallist, Hanna Klein from Czech Republic who crossed the line in a season best of 4:03.85 with Kristina Mäki who is the fastest Finnish indoor runner coming home in third in 4:04.45.
Poland’s Eliza Megger came home in fourth with a season best of 4:04.55 with Aurore Fleury who was racing at her home ground finishing in fifth in 5:05.10.
