The Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) has provisionally suspended the world record holder in the 100m hurdles, Tobi Amusan from Nigeria for three Whereabouts Failures which is a violation of the World Athletics Anti-Doping Rules.
Amusan who is also the reigning World 100m hurdle champion charge will be heard by the Disciplinary Tribunal and determined before the World Athletics Championships, which could result in a two-year suspension, even if an athlete has never failed a drug test.
The AIU confirms that it has today charged and provisionally suspended Tobi Amusan (NGR) for 3 Whereabouts Failures.
The Charge will be heard by the Disciplinary Tribunal and determined before the World Athletics Championships.
