Olympic Games finalist Abel Kipsang will make his second indoor appearance in the 2000m at the Meeting Hauts-de-France Pas-de-Calais that will be held on Thursday (17) in Lievin, France.
Kipsang defeated the world 1500m bronze medallist, Marcin Lewandowski at the Meweting Metz Monsele Athlelor World Indoor five days ago and he is rearing to go for another win.
The 25 years-old took the honors in 1500m with a time of 3:36.23 and will be targeting to lower the Kenyan record of 4:55.72 over this rarely contested distance.
Kipsang will face off with Azzedine Habz from France who is the fastest athlete on paper with a time of 3:31.74 and Samuel Zeleke from Ethiopia who comes with the second fast time of 3:32.80.
German’s Maximilian Thorwirth, who set his indoor personal best of 7:38.14 in the 3000m in Staten Island will also be on the start line.
