The world indoor silver medallist, Seyaum Dawit took the top honors at the Müller Indoor Grand Prix, which is a World Athletics Indoor Tour gold level series that was held on Friday (19) at the Utilita Arena – Birmingham.
Seyaum took charge of the race after the pacer drop off and she never looked back but increased her pace leaving Ireland’s Sarah Healy gasping for breath as she crossed the line in a new personal best of 4:04.35.
Healy came home in second place in a personal best of 4:06.94 with Australia’s Linden Hall finished in third place also with a personal best of 4:07.36.
Amy Markovic and Erin Wallace both from Great Britain finished in fourth and fifth with personal best of 4:08.68 and 4:08.90 respectively.
