Alfonce Kibiwott wins Padova Marathon

Kenya’s Alfonce Kibiwott won in style the 22th edition of the Padova Marathon that was held on Sunday (24) in Padova, Italy.

Kibiwott pulled away from the leading group at the 35km mark and extended his pace to run solo for the remaining seven kilometres and cutting with the second fastest time in Padova of 2:10.01.

Kibiwott led a 1-2-3 Kenya podium finish as he was followed by Elijah Kibor with a time of 2:12.25. Gilbert Chumba came home in third place in 2:13.20.
