Olympic 1500m champion Jakob Ingebrigtsen turned tables on Friday when he broke the Championships record in the men’s 1500m race at the Istanbul European Athletics Indoor Championships, held at the Atakoy Arena, Turkey.
The 22 year-old who ran 3:32.38 in Lievin last month, made it double when he won the race in a blistering time of 3:33.95 ahead of Great Britain’s Neil Gourley and Azeddine Habz from France who beat him in the heats closing the podium three places.
