Commonwealth Games 100m champion, Ferdinand Omanyala showed a splendid performance on the first day of the Prefontaine Classic held on Saturday night at the Hayward Field on the campus of the University of Oregon.
The fastest man on the African continent crossed the finish line in third spot in 9.95 seconds.
Former world 100m champion, Christian Coleman stormed to victory in a blistering speed and setting the fastest time this year of 9.83 seconds and was followed by the reigning world champion Noah Lyles who shared same time as Omanyala of 9.85.
Jamaica’s raising star Kishane Thompson and former world silver medallist, Marvin Bracy came home in fourth and fifth place in respective time of 9.87 and 10.01.
World silver medallist, Letsile Tebogo from Botswana finished a distant eighth in 10.61.
