The Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) has banned Christopher Taylor of Jamaica for thirty months for Evading, Refusing or Failing to Submit to Sample Collection by an Athlete which is a violation of the World Athletics Anti-Doping Rules.
The 2022 World 4×400m relay silver medallist was charged for violating the World Anti-Doping Agency’s (WADA) Anti-Doping Code Article 2.3, which nabbed him after a six-month investigation that determined that he evaded a doping test in November 2022.
WADA Anti-Doping Code Article 2.3 states: “Evading, Refusing or Failing to Submit to Sample Collection. The Evading Sample collection, or without compelling justification, refusing or failing to submit to Sample collection after notification as authorised in applicable anti-doping rules.”
The AIU has banned Christopher Taylor (Jamaica) for 30 months, from 16 November 2022, for Evading, Refusing or Failing to Submit to Sample Collection by an Athlete. DQ results since 16 November 2022.

The 23-year-old was contacted in November 2022 by anti-doping officials who had turned up to conduct a test at the location that he had indicated on his Administration and Management System (ADAMS). However, when the officials arrived, Taylor was not at the listed location and had not updated his whereabouts information.
Taylor last competed in August 2022 and would be eligible to compete again in May 2025.
