World Indoor 1500m record holder, Gudaf Tsegay will be the star to watch in the women 1500m race at the 36th edition of the Meeting Hauts-de-France Pas-de-Calais Lievin that will be held on Wednesday (10) in Lievin, France.
The 26 year-old who broke the World Indoor 1500m with a time of 3:53.09 in Lievin in 2021, had set her eyes on Genzebe Dibaba’s world Mile record of 4:13.31 that she set seven years ago in Stockholm but fell short of it but managed to set a personal best and the second fastest time in history of 4:16.16.
The Olympic 5000m bronze medallist will have to get past her compatriots, the world Indoor 800m silver medallist Freweyni Hailu, World Indoor 1500m silver and bronze medallist, Axumawit Embaye and Hirut Meshesha respectively.
