Kenya’s Emmanuel Korir the youngest athlete to join the sub-1:47/45.0 will headline the 111th edition of the NYRR Millrose Games at The Armory’s New Balance Track and Field Center on February 3, 2018.
The 22 year-old who is coached by Kenyan 800m legend Paul Ereng, will be among the top international track and field stars that will make compete at the Millrose Games.
Korir announced himself to American fans with two superlative performances in January — a world-leading 1:46.50 800 in Nashville on January 14 and that 1:14.97 600 in Albuquerque a week later.
CJ Ujah ran the lead-off leg in the British 4x100m World champion team and will run the 60m.
Lalonde Gordon anchored Trinidad & Tobago’s 4x400m team to World Championships gold and is preparing for the 400m.
Also there Xie Zhenye in the 60m, Justyn Knight for long distance and in women high jump Erika Kinsey from Sweden.
Jamaican Olympic 110m hurdles champion Omar McLeod and Bahamian Olympic 400m champion Shaunae Miller-Uibo were announced earlier for the event.
