Kenya’s Cosmas Kimutai took honors at the 16th edition of the Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon (SCSM) that was held on Sunday (3) in Singapore, Malaysia.
Kimutai who came to this race with a personal best of 2:09.25 that he got at the 2010 Eindhoven Marathon battled with the hot humidity to beat a strong field of Kenyans a he led a 1-2-3 Kenyan podium dominance.
The 32 year-old cut the tape in 2:22.48 and was followed by Justus Kimutai of 2:23.07 with Paul Matheka closing the podium finish in 2:23.25.
Kimutai pocketed a cool 5 million Kenya Shillings as the prize money.
