Former world Cross Country junior silver medalist Pauline Korikwiang won the 11th edition of the Family Bank Half Marathon that was held on Sunday (8) in Eldoret.
The double 2011 All Africa Games bronze medallist returned to active competition after nursing a hip joint and tendon injury that had kept her out for four year.
The 29 years-old cut the tape in 1:13.07 and was followed a minute later by Josephine Jepkoech of 1:14.08.
“I thank God am back from the four year injury and winning this race means a lot to me and am very much ready to take on any race,” said Korikwiang.
Winnie Chepkorir took third place in 1:14.06 with fourth and fifth going to Peres Kandie and Sharon Chelimo of 1:15.29 and 1:16.34 respectively
