Kenya’s Norah Jeruto was the star of the day at the Oslo Diamond League 3000m steeplechase that was held at Bislett Stadium in Norway.
The 2016 African Championships gold medalist took 9:17.28 to win the race with her closest opponent Ethiopia’s Sofia Assefa coming in second 6 seconds later.
Fabiene Schlumpf from Swiss came in third with 9:21.65 with fourth and fifth place going to Purity Kirui of Kenya and Luiza Gega of Albania with 9:25.82 and 9:26.05 respectively.
