Kenya’s Purity Rionoripo is the 2017 winner of the 41st edition Paris Marathon that was held on Sunday (9) in Paris.
Rionoripo broke the course record that was held by Ethiopia Feyse Tadese who set the record in 2013 with a time of 2:21.06. She cut the tape in PB of 2:20.54 and was closely followed by fellow Kenyan Agnes Barsosio with 2:20.55 and closing the podium finish was the fastest lady on paper Filomena Cheyech who crossed the line with 2:21.22.
The defending champion was denied the podium when she finished in fourth place with a time of 2:21.38 with the first Ethiopian Yebrgual Melese coming fourth with 2:22.54
