Kenya’s James Kwambai will be defending his Daegu International Marathon that will be held this Sunday (2) in Daegu, South Korea.
Kwambai who won the race in a time of 2:10.46 will be out defend his title keeping in mind his eight years personal best of 2:04.27. He has three Seoul Marathon titles under his belt.
The 34 year old will battle for honors with his fellow countrymen who want to challenge him for the honors led by Peter Some who won the Macau Marathon in December last year in a time of 2:12.52 but he has aPB of 2:05.58 he got in Paris Marathon in 2013.
Another Kenyan on the line for honors is Mathew Kisorio who a PB of 2:06.33 that he got in 2015 at the Valencia Marathon and his recent win at the Gronollers Half with 1:01.30 puts him in a position for a podium finish.
Ethiopia will be led by Chele Dechasa who a PB of 2:06.33 and Japanese wonder kid Yuki Kawauchi will be looking for a podium finish having finished third at the 2016 Fukuoka Marathon with a PB of 2:09.11
