Pascalia Jepkorir the winner of 12km at the just concluded Kass International Marathon has set her sights on the IAAF World Cross Country Championships set for next year in Uganda.
Jepkorir who has been competing in almost all local races won the 12km race in style. She ran at the IAAF world half marathon in Cardiff last March finishing seventh in a season best time of 1:09.44.
Jepkorir who won the women’s senior title at the University of Eldoret Cross Country last month, she is focused on the challenge ahead in Uganda at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships set for next year in Uganda.
The girl who hails from Nandi County said she was using the race in preparation for the National Police Championships as she looks to represent Kenya again at the next year’s world cross country championships in Kampala, Uganda.
“I am very happy for the victory and such events are good for me in terms of building my endurance ahead of the world cross country championships,” She said.
“Competing for Kenya in Cardiff made me gain running skills and I am looking forward for another chance in the cross country team,” She added.
